Partha Iyengar
Research Vice President Gartner

Partha Iyengar is a vice president and research director in Gartner Research, located in India, where he covers applications development and offshore applications outsourcing.
He has written thought-leading research on AD process capability and global AD issues, and has done extensive research in global delivery. He actively tracks the business models of the leading offshore services vendors from India and other emerging countries and their competitive positioning with the traditional global service providers. His research interests also encompass assessing the impact of the growing global delivery paradigm on the traditional global IT services marketplace.
Mr. Iyengar is a frequent speaker and presenter at numerous Gartner and external forums, as well as for various government organizations in India and overseas. He is extensively quoted in the local, national and international press and was also recently interviewed on the U.S. CBS News show "60 Minutes." He was also a participant in a CNN International Panel discussion on Global Sourcing.
Prior to setting up Gartner operations in India, his previous positions in the U.S. include director, applications development within Gartner's internal IT department, in Stamford, Connecticut.. Before joining Gartner, he had a very successful stint as CEO and principal consultant of his own consulting organization in the U.S., where he provided consulting assistance to major corporations in the areas of applications design, architecture, standards, software process control and overall AD methodology.

Jamie Popkin

James (Jamie) M. Popkin is a group vice president & Research Fellow in Gartner Research responsible for research content strategy in China, India and Korea.
Mr. Popkin also serves as international team leader for China and India. In that role, he is Gartner's senior executive responsible for business and client relationships in those countries. Mr. Popkin currently serves as senior advisor to the China Business Continuity Management Association.
In his previous position, Mr. Popkin served for 2.5 years as worldwide Head of Research for Vertical Industries and Gartner Asia/Pacific & Japan. In his 13-year career with Gartner, Mr. Popkin has held a variety of management and analyst positions including Global Head of Vendor Relations and Chairman of U.S. Symposia. As an analyst, Mr. Popkin specialized in integrated document management, document imaging, information retrieval, output technologies and workflow software applications.
Prior to joining Gartner, he was with the Deloitte & Touche LLP Information Technology practice, managing a variety of technology strategy and development engagements. Previously, Mr. Popkin served as a board member of the Association for Image and Information Management (AIIM) International Board of Directors.
